7.2. DIALogue prototype structure
The
DIALogue facilities are located at http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/special/dialogue/
and are also linked from the Project DIAL home page.
All DIALogue users are allocated a unique Username and Password, use of which
are required in order to access the DIALogue home page, which is then
personalised for the user as shown below.
Start of DIALogue home page - http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/special/dialogue/
The DIALogue home page leads the user through the following steps:
- [Optional] Check if your problem has already been answered in the archives
of the LAW-DEV List or in the DIALogue Discussion List.
- Choose to whom you wish to send your message.
- Compose the text of your message in the box below.
- Send your message.
The selection of recipients of messages is by a
series of check-boxes which allow users to select all recipients in a
particular category, or only some of them, as illustrated below.
Part of the selection options for messages to DIALogue
Panelists
Messages are then composed and sent using a form also located
on the DIALogue home page.
A
portion of the composition screen - http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/special/dialogue/index.cgi#2
A `Send' button is used to dispatch the message once it is completed.
A confirmation copy of the message is then sent to the user's normal e-mail
address. To the recipient of the message, it will appear as if it has come from
the user's normal e-mail address (see below for qualifications concerning the
DIALogue Discussion List and LAW-DEV). After sending the message, the user is
given the option to return to the DIALogue page or the DIAL home page.
The User Guide is at http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/special/dialogue/dialogue_user.html
